Torah Portion SHLACH LECHA-Bamidbar (Numbers) 13-16
And He said, “My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest.” Exodus 33:14
Shabbat shalom dearly beloved!
This past week the Holy Spirit has written a message in my heart that I had known since I got saved. At least I thought that I knew until He literally seared it in my heart more than ever before! This is the Message
Nothing can make us happy, nothing can satisfy besides His Presence and a Personal, Intimate Relationship with Him. No riches, no fame, no ministry, no business, no family, no marriage, no children, no friends, no people, no job, no position, no possessions, not even health-nothing, absolutely nothing has meaning without Him.

Then he said to Him, “If Your presence does not go with us, do not lead us up from here.” Exodus 33:15
Moshe (Moses) seemed to have understood this thoroughly. After the Children of Israel sinned seriously in the desert by building an idol to satisfy their carnal and religious needs, YHVH decided not to accompany them anymore! He was so angry with them that He was about to consume them. He had been betrayed seriously and swiftly by His beloved People! He was even willing to give them the Promised Land and all its riches and temporal blessings in spite of their rebellion! But He was going to hold back only One Thing- His Presence. He was going to send an angel to go with them, they would even have supernatural protection and physical provision, even victory against their enemies but they would not have HIM!
Then YHVH spoke to Moses, “Depart, go up from here, you and the people whom you have brought up from the land of Egypt, to the land of which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, ‘To your descendants I will give it.’ 2 I will send an angel before you and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite and the Jebusite. 3 Go up to a land flowing with milk and honey; for I will not go up in your midst, because you are an obstinate people, and I might destroy you on the way.” Exodus 33:1-3
THANKFULNESS AS A KEY TO HIS PRESENCE
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Colossians 3:15 KJV
Is it possible that we can be blessed, famous, rich and successful and even have angelic assistance, intervention and even signs, wonders and miracles and be lacking His Presence? It is not only possible but it is actually happening all over the Body of Messiah world -wide. Many are satisfied in the Promised Land of provision, protection, fame and success and they have not noticed yet that HE is missing.
But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33
Others are striving to get to that Promised Land at all costs and they are not perceiving that their pursuit is after “things” but not after HIM. There is a great difference between those who seek after HIM and as a result they get “things” and between those who covet after “things” and as a result they LOSE HIM.
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Mark 8:36
It is totally possible to have everything your heart’s desire and actually be unhappy, empty and depressed. The things of this world will never satisfy beloved, never! I wonder how many believers in Messiah are holding unto their “things” and possession thinking that this is their life! And how many of them are totally depressed, nervous, bored, unhappy in grief and comfortless only because they have put their trust in “things” or the lack thereof. This includes all those that are jealous and judgmental of those that have wealth. You can be poor and be full of the Love of Mammon for your mind is occupied with “making a living” and coveting what you don’t have instead of being grateful of what you do have!
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Romans 1:21 KJV
Ungratefulness or lack of true heartfelt thanksgiving causes us to lose the Most Important Thing which is His Presence! To enter and to keep His Presence at all we must PRACTICE thankfulness.
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. Psalm 100:4 KJV
WHAT ARE WE TRUSTING IN?
Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy. 1 Timothy 6:17 KJV
See YHVH wants us to be rich in everything as long as we do not depend on those riches and as long as He can have access to all of us and to all that we have at all times, which is a proof that we have not made “things” or people our idol.
For you know the grace of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9
Even the disciples were puzzled when Yeshua admonished the rich young ruler. Why did He ask him to sell all that he had? Is that a requirement for all of us? Of course not! It was an instruction for this young man because Yeshua knew that his riches had him bound to religion rather than relationship. He was a moral man, he kept all the Commandments except the first one: You shall have no other gods before me.
Looking at him, Yeshua felt a love for him and said to him, “One thing you lack: go and sell all you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” 22 But at these words he was saddened, and he went away grieving, for he was one who owned much property. Mark 10:21, 22
How many of us are moral, good citizens, etc. but have violated the First One by trusting in “uncertain riches”? Or by idolizing people or even family to the point that YHVH has no full access to our lives, to our emotions, to our time and of course to our money and possessions?
What does it take to realize that nothing matters besides His Presence, His Kingdom, His Will? In my case I had to lose everything prior to my salvation so that I could come into the Kingdom “naked” and know that nothing would ever satisfy me besides Him.
THE TRANSFER OF WEALTH
A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, and the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous. Proverbs 13:22
Many have been prophesying about the Great Transfer of Wealth from the sinner to the righteous and indeed this is in the works. However the vessels that are being prepared to house this wealth for Kingdom purposes must be first prepared to love nothing more than HIM. Wealth can serve a great purpose for the Kingdom as its purpose is to establish the Covenant and to advance the Gospel as well as to bring enjoyment to us as Covenant People. He wants us to enjoy all things money can buy as long as it is in His Presence and depending on Him!
But you shall remember the YHVH your Elohim, for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth, that He may confirm His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. Deuteronomy 8:18
I can assure you that wealth alone cannot bring any lasting enjoyment. Whatever wealth can buy is a temporal feeling or sense of happiness that when it passes it leaves people emptier and more depressed than before. That is why people drink so much, they smoke and take so many drugs and “sleep around”. People are totally empty so they look for something to fill them up! But when truly God fearing people are blessed and wealthy it brings honor to the Almighty because they use their wealth to advance the Kingdom and to testify of Yah’s goodness!
Elohim be gracious to us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us— Selah. That Your way may be known on the earth, your salvation among all nations. Psalm 67:1,2
Godly people that are wealthy are aware that the wealth is not only for their use but the wealth is accessible to the Almighty at any time that He chooses!
Yah’s (God’s) desire is that we will all be wealthy beyond measure but FIRST that we would seek Him and His Kingdom. He wants all His riches to be available to us so His Covenant and His Kingdom can be established on earth as it is in Heaven! He is the owner of all the silver and the gold. It is His good pleasure to make us rich, we are His children and co-heirs with Messiah of ALL that Abba has!
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints. Ephesians 1:18
Have we made Him the total owner of our life, heart, mind, body, family and possessions? Does He have access to all of us or are we withholding part of us from Him for fear of losing it?
For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. Matthew 16:25
Most people are still holding their moneys and possessions from YHVH. This is only a serious sign that their hearts do not belong to Him. That is why so many preachers have to “pump” the people and almost coerce them to GIVE! Lord have MERCY! Why is it that people are not making their possessions available to the King for Kingdom purposes? Because idolatry is running rampart in the Body of Yeshua. This is a serious heart disease! All of the Kingdom purposes would be accomplished very fast if all of those who profess Faith in Messiah would have all that they have accessible to Him! It is time to have our Heart in the True Treasures of the Kingdom!
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:21
This Shabbat as you enter His Rest, commune with Him and offer yourself, including your whole life, loved ones and possessions and allow Him forever to have FULL ACCESS to you and to all that you have! Make His Presence and a Personal Relationship with Him the Most Important Thing of your life! Just like Moshe (Moses) refused to go on into the Promised Land of blessing without the fullness of His Blessing- His Manifested Presence! He wants us to fully enjoy life both in the natural and spiritual realms and as we make Him a FULL Partner of our enjoyment we will have The Most Important Thing!
You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy;
In Your right hand there are pleasures forever. Psalm 16:11
