Torah Portion HUKAT- Bamidbar (Numbers) 19-21:1
Four things are small on the earth, but they are exceedingly wise. Proverbs 30:24
Shabbat shalom dearly beloved:
Throughout the 20th Century many different Moves of God and Church Renewals came and went. Most of those that were well known and given much coverage were happening in the USA. The reason for the coverage was the special talent that America has for publicity. With the help of TV and formerly radio every little thing was broadcasted and magnified. However the Spirit of Adonai was moving in many other nations not any less powerfully and many signs, wonders and miracles went completely unpublished. So it is today. YHVH is moving in the most unlikely places like usual. He is knocking on the doors of many small congregations where there have been faithful pastors and ministers, calling them to seek Him for a Great Revival. However many pastors and ministers in small places feel disappointed because they are not "big". They have had great visions and they are expecting them to come to pass "McDonald's style".
I have seen all the works which have been done under the sun, and behold, all is vanity and striving after wind. Ecclesiastes 1:14
A few years ago there was an enlightening film called "Supersize Me" about the harms of the huge McDonald hamburgers, shakes and the like. People would get dangerously obese at an early age. Their huge size was not a sign of health but rather a matter for concern. The pressure that was put in the blood vessels and the heart could cause untold trouble such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol and sudden heart attacks. In the human body a big size is not a sign of health but rather the contrary! Why do we think that in Messiah's Body it is different? In the same way that the human body gets monstrously big because of the wrong unhealthy foods, too much processed meat, too many empty calories, sugars, color chemicals and preservatives, so does the Body of Yeshua. The human body gets obese for eating only what pleases the senses instead of what is actually good and healthy. Parents that feed their children only what they want in order to avoid "tantrums" are doing a gross disservice to their children. They will get addicted to pleasing their senses instead of doing what is right in life.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires. 2 Timothy 4:3
The same thing is happening in many churches world-wide. Many pastors have given the people the music that pleases the senses, the messages that work like a placebo and feel sweet and gentle, activities to keep them entertained and the like. The people never grow or mature in the faith but they feel comfortable, pampered and "loved". "Isn't pastor wonderful and sweet?" they say. "I love to come to church, he never makes you feel uncomfortable and his messages are so 'soothing'". Those churches can become supersized and grow to mega proportions of "spiritual obesity" just like the human body when it is fed processed food and empty calories!
DO NOT COVET YOUR NEIGHBOR'S MINISTRY
You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, and you shall not desire your neighbor's house, his field or his male servant or his female servant, his ox or his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor.' Deuteronomy 5:21
Meanwhile "small" churches and ministries look at the BIG ones with envy and longing. "What is wrong with me"? They say. "I am preaching God's word undiluted to the best of my ability and yet we are small in numbers and people run away when they are corrected."
Beloved pastor of a "small" church and ministry do not get discouraged or fooled when you see mega ministries that are supersized! Remember that Yeshua was followed at all times by huge crowds because of the miracles. I calculated that He may have had about 20,000 people around him at any given time! However when He started to preach a poignant message of obedience, everyone left Him except the 12! And it is with these 12 that He changed the world and not with the other 20,000!
As a result of this many of His disciples withdrew and were not walking with Him anymore. So Yeshua said to the twelve, "You do not want to go away also, do you?" 68 Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life." John 6:66-68
In fact after He was crucified, only 120 were obeying Him by waiting and praying in Jerusalem for the Holy Spirit to desend and Revival in Israel to start. That revival has gone all over the world till this day!
When the numbers of believers started to grow, YHVH allowed for a persecution to scatter them all over the Land and abroad so that the Message of Salvation could go all around the world! He certainly did not allow for a "bless me club" to develop in Jerusalem!
Saul was in hearty agreement with putting him to death. And on that day a great persecution began against the church in Jerusalem, and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles. Acts 8:1
And so it is today as before. His ways do not change because we are in the 21st Century. Any time that a pastor or preacher will speak a Message of radical repentance and obedience, his/her congregation may dwindle until you have only a few that are willing to count the cost and pay the price for the True Gospel "made in Zion" to be preached with true holiness and powerful anointing! If you have allowed YHVH to set you free from all Replacement Theology doctrines of demons and men and of all religious spirits, do not be surprised if many people leave you! Rejoice that you are just like your Master and Rabbi Yeshua who chose not to "tickle" people's ears but rather to please His Father. Once all the ones that hate the Truth and love the comfort zone of religion leave you, you will be left with truly obedient disciples with whom you can proceed to obey our Abba and to change the world!
This is a prophetic word given to me this day for YOU and your faithful members! Receive it directly from YHVH and keep going forward obeying Him all the way till the end and you will receive a Crown of Life! A Great Awakening is happening everywhere! Great things are happening in Small Places!
For who has despised the day of small things? Zechariah 4:10
