Shabbat shalom dearly beloved:
A compass is a navigational instrument that shows directions in a frame of reference that is stationary relative to the surface of the earth. The frame of reference defines the four cardinal directions (or points) – north, south, east, and west. Intermediate directions are also defined. Usually, a diagram called a compass rose, which shows the directions (with their names usually abbreviated to initials), is marked on the compass. When the compass is in use, the rose is aligned with the real directions in the frame of reference, so, for example, the "N" mark on the rose really points to the north. (From Wikipedia)
THE REALIGNMENT OF THE COMPASS ROSE
In 1994 the Almighty spoke to me after ministering the first "Back to the Roots Seminar in Switzerland. On my way home on an El Al, Israeli airlines plane, I asked YHVH: "Why is it so important to minister the Jewish Roots of the Faith to the Church? His answer was: "It is a matter of life and death". The Church has been like a ROSE cut off from her garden (the Olive Tree-Israel) and put in a vase of water for 2 days but on the 3rd day if she is not replanted back (into the original Hebrew Foundations of the Gospel) she will surely die!
One day unto YHVH is as 1000 years, we are now in the Third Day, the Third Millennium since Yeshua came. The Compass for the true Faith in Messiah is the Hebrew Holy Scriptures and for the most part the Church has regarded them as "Old Testament" and has misinterpreted the New Testament altogether because of lack of Hebrew Foundation. This has given rise to many doctrines of demons and men and many denominations that each one of them claims to be the only true one. Since the Compass (the Torah) has been rejected for 1700 years of Replacement Theology Christianity, the Rose (Church) is not aligned with Yah's (God's) direction and purpose. We must find the Compass- the Torah as instructed by the Holy Spirit for the Rose (Church) to align itself with the End Times Prophetic Purposes of YHVH!
This realignment is required of every one that professes to be a believer in the One and Only Jewish Messiah, regardless of rank, position or denomination. The whole Church is now commanded to leave "Rome" and return to Zion. To leave the Greek Religion established by Emperor Constantine and return to the Gospel Preached by the Jewish Apostles 2000 years ago!
This requires a Great Change in many ministries and in all our lives and true transformation and guidance can come only when we quiet ourselves before Elohim-God so He can bring us to Repentance and then to Restoration. The First thing we must do is to find the place of INTIMACY with Him so He can speak to us things beyond our religious mindsets and preconceived ideas.
"Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.
Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:17-20
FINDING THE COMPASS IN A BUSY WORLD
We live in a very busy world with a lot of noise. There are many voices and many sounds and it is a great challenge to find a quiet place within ourselves in order to make right decisions. I remember when I was 17 years old my father was sent by the Israeli government as a science attaché in order to open the Robotics Department in the UNAM, Mexico's university. One of his students a musician and popular singer fell in love with me and I with him. We were so madly in love that I was trying to elope in order for us to get married in secret. He was a catholic and me an Israeli Jew. He was willing to marry me and to follow me to Israel. My parents were very upset as this was a complex situation. On top of it unbeknown to me the man was given to drink wine. This did not look very promising. My parents with great wisdom and sensitivity organized a family trip to Chile to visit our beloved grandparents whom I had not seen in many years! I decided to postpone my "eloping plans" and join my family and at the same time give myself time and space to think. I was not a believer then but I knew that God existed "somewhere".
Arrival to Santiago, Chile and meeting my loving grandparents was an emotional "high"! I was their favorite grandchild being also the first and they loved me very much. My grandmother Susana, had always been my confidant. She knew all my secrets and so I told her about my Mexican boyfriend. She suggested wisely and tactfully that I take time to be still and alone in order to think and meet with "myself" so as not to make the devastating decision of marrying wrong. Meanwhile Juan Pablo was writing me letters daily and even a few a day. We must remember that there was no internet in those days, so these were sent via snail mail or regular post!
I followed grandma's wise instructions and shut myself into the spare room for three days. I was quiet with myself with no distractions and could hear my heartbeat. Soon enough I was aware of a Presence with me that today I recognize as Elohim-God. The moment I quieted myself enough to listen even to myself, I realized that I was not alone and that there was someone with me helping me to find The Compass for my situation. When I came out of that retreat I knew that I needed to cut off that relationship and return to Israel immediately in order to do my mandatory service in the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces) I was confident in my decision and shalom returned to my heart. I followed that course of action and became a trainer in the IDF. It proved to be the right course of action. The right course of action and the right guidance manifested when I stilled myself to listen without pressure from outside and from letting go of my desires and opinions. That is an honest search. We must let go of our opinions if we are to LISTEN to Yah's (God's) guidance.
I was not a believer in Messiah then and still His Compass was present to guide me.
NO COMPASS-WRONG DECISIONS!
I remember another time when I did not still myself to listen to the Compass. This time I was about to get married in Israel and I was 20 years old. The wedding invitations had been distributed and the major synagogue in Tel Aviv was booked already. My wedding dress was shining in my closet except some things manifested in my husband to be before the wedding that rang up an alarm inside of me and inside of my Mom.
The young man seemed to be very dogmatic, controlling and possessive. I became highly concerned and disquieted within me. My Mom noticed it and suggested that I cancel the wedding. My answer was "how can I?" "The wedding invitations have been distributed, the wedding dress is purchased and all is ready." She wisely suggested not to worry about such trivialities and rescue myself from the wrong husband and I failed to shut myself into a quiet place where I could still all voices in order to sense The Compass. I was far too concerned about "what would people say" and the shame that it would be to cancel a wedding. How would I live with the stigma and how would the young man and his family react? In that frame of mind I married the said young man and one and a half years later we also divorced for the exact same reasons that my Mom suggested to cancel the wedding. I did not still myself to listen and paid a bitter price.
Most of the Church is about to marry the wrong bridegroom thinking it is the "real one" but the Bridegroom is not Greek or Roman but Jewish. In fact He is a Jewish Lion!
But one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals." Revelation 5:5 NKJV
RELAX AND FIND THE COMPASS
When I became a believer, follower and disciple of Yeshua the Messiah, I soon realized that the secret of success in my walk was in the "still place" of listening. A place where I still my emotions, opinions and desires enough in order to hear my heart and His heart beat together on any issue. I had to let go completely and let God. This is exactly what this scripture means in Psalm 46:10:
Be still and know that I am YHVH
In Hebrew it is harpu udeu sheani YHVH which paraphrased means:
Relax, let go of all the tight and stressed muscles and have an intimate private time with me and you will discover that I Am YHVH, the I AM, the Compass that is totally Present in your situation to guide you and to see you through! I will bring such a miraculous outcome that I will be exalted in the earth through YOU!
FINDING THE STILLNESS
In order to discover YHVH, The I AM, the Compass for our journey in life and for all decision making in all minor and major affairs of life we must find that "stillness". Then our emotional "muscles", desires, feelings, opinions and thoughts can REST for us to LISTEN to our heart and then to His heart. Once both hearts are beating in unison then we can proceed from a place of peace and rest with the right decision. The Compass will be clear and so will be the Course of Action to take.
TIME TO FIND THE COMPASS
If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 NKJV
We have entered into a 40 Day Global Fast for TESHUVA (Returning-Repentance to Restoration) and the First thing that He is calling us to repent of is for "rushing without Him" without spending that intimate time to LISTEN. Sometimes we can retreat into a secret room and sometimes we need to take a swim in the sea or a walk in the mountains or read a few chapters of His Word and let Him speak to us. The KEY factor is to still our heart before Him, have a heart to heart talk with Him and LISTEN. Sometimes we will hear a still small voice and some-times we will simply "feel" what is right to do but "letting go and letting God", "harpu", will never fail. Listening will never fail.
Shma Israel Adonai Eloheinu, YHVH Echad
"Listen and obey o Israel YHVH your Elohim is ONE" Deuteronomy 6:4
He is Echad-One, He is not divided, not confused, He is not in disorder and when we know Him (Yada- the intimate knowledge as a husband and a wife) we will not be divided, in confusion or in disorder but we must SHMA- Listen and follow instruction.
YOUR TONGUE IS THE RUDDER
For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body. Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires. Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. Yaakov (James) 3:2, 4, 5 NKJV
Once direction has come, use your mouth to set the Course of Action by declaring Yah's Word over your situation and then follow through with your doing. Refrain from speaking torpedoing, negative words but only what He has promised and directed. The Tongue is the rudder that needs to follow the Compass's direction. It is the tongue that can establish the Course of our Journey. If we speak His words, His Holy Angels will come to assist us and to make sure that Yah's plan comes to pass in our lives.
Bless YHVH, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His word,
heeding the voice of His word. Psalm 103:20 NKJV
When we still ourselves, we listen to direction, then we stir up our tongue to speak only what He speaks in accordance with that direction. Stay in focus and obey His Guidance, then your decisions will bear good fruit, Kingdom Fruit. Do not ever base your decisions on feelings, emotions, desires or peer pressure. Let them all come from that place of stillness, trust and faith!
Trust in YHVH with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5, 6 NKJV
The entire Church must find The Compass in His Word, in His Torah, repent of Replacement Theology and be restored to the Gospel made in Zion. As long as we are still full of "doctrinal voices" and religious mindsets we will not be able to LISTEN to Yah's will. We must find the quiet place of "harpu" without any bias or pre-conceived idea so the Body can find His Voice again and LISTEN to the beating of His Heart.
